Woot... have started a baby/pregnancy blog thing... hopefully it will be more succesful than the journal I have tried to start. Anyway, to check up on the bub and me go to http://maternalmayhem.blogspot.com

Late-night TUI (not really)

Well being as I'm up the duff it's not a good idea to be legitimately TUI (typing under the influence) but I am pretty tired so randomness similar to drinking will ensue.

At the moment I am busy watching Drawn Together (quote possibly THE most politically incorrect show that I have EVER EVER seen) randomly net surfing and have just finished cooking some awesome mince to go underneath some even cooler nachos (if Fungus and Jay ever get around to constructing them... lazy assholes!)

Well, I survived my first week back at work after 2 weeks off, which other really didn't rock... mostly due to the heat. The factory heats up like an oven. But I did miss the boys there, they do make me laugh pretty damned hard!

I swear this baby is making the warm weather feel even hotter, if it weren't for water restrictions I would spend forever under the shower trying to stay cool! It has been pretty hot over the last few nights... but who needs a weather report?

Oh, the digital camera ate its own head or something, totally not working. Hopefully we can get it repaired. (The camera shop was on holidays but I think they open again on Monday) It's a bloody good camera, so if it's rooted replacing it will mean a) lots of money or b) a less awesome camera. This upsets me immensely, I enjoy playing with the camera and I have a new house that I want to Flickr all over the place... not to mention the baby bump! (Yes, Miranda finally looks less like a goal post... and more like a goal post that swallowed a bowling ball!)

I finally got my Christmas pressy from Ryan last week too (shipping took a while) he got me a Nintendo DS... but no games. Now I need to buy some games otherwise all I have is an expensive electronic calendar. (I got him a shirt, a lighter and the box set of the Pirates of the Carribean movies!) However it is hard to decide what games I want... I mean Nintendogz looks soooo cute, but would I really play it? Those brain training ones look fun though, as does the DS version of Zelda... I loved it on the SNES (yes I am THAT much of a geek!)

Hmmm, it's almost 12.30. I should probably sleep being as I am tired, but there are still NO nachos, even though I made the mince for them 1/2 an hour ago and I do want some nachos. Bah... I'll wake up like 4 or 5 times anyways, who am I kidding, at least if I'm totally exhausted it should probably be only once or twice.

I just realised I used 'should probably' twice in the last paragraph. Either I am pretty tired, or maybe I just talk the same a lot. If I had the energy I would go through this blog and see if there are any other repeated phrases.

Right... analysing my writing style to the point of finding recurring patterns in my sentence structure it's totally time I went to bed, or at least stopped writing!

For everyone who doesn't know yet...

Well I'm finally back online... and this time for real. Assuming the modem and router don't spontaneously combust or some weird shit like that....

So the news is pretty much out, but I figure there's still a few of you who haven't caught on yet.... and I'm trying VERY hard to think of an awesome way to do it, but I lack a scanner, which is what I really wanted so I'm just gonna give this a go and hope it works...



This is the baby talking not me, I'm considerably taller than 10 inches... and yes it kicks plenty! My due date is May 19... so here's an early warning that I will randomly dissapear offline for some time around then.

Well... now that the 'big' news is out of the way let's move onto the rest of everything that's happened while I've been away. We got our own place, as in our names are on the lease and no one else, it's actually just ours! Which is absolutely awesome when we get home and are tired and cranky, we don't have to stress out about upsetting housemates... oh and the best part is no one minds (expect me) if I forget the dishes.

I will try and keep everyone a little more updated on my life now that we have net again, and try not to get too baby-centric in my posts, although that is hard... 99% of my thoughts at the moment are somehow related to this awesome little being.

What Not To Say....

When the rubber band you are forcing around an overstuffed manila folder snaps, and flicks back at your hand (leaving a welt that stings for hours and then burns agian later on in the shower that night) causing you to let go of the whole folder, sending paper everywhere and resulting in another 10 minutes of reorganising.

FUCK ME SIDEWAYS!

One of the install boys will have just come up behind you, and will find this so funny he will not only spend the next five minutes in a heap on the floor laughing, but he will giggle helplessly everytime he sees you for the next few days.

Also I got my driver's license today!!!! :):):)

Still Sick

I've had two more days off.. urg! Contrary to popular belief, and while I enoy the rest, I actually hate sitting around on my ass all day when I know I could be doing something. However yesterday I was thoroughly miserable, and very crook, so working really was out of the question. The Dr told me to have today off too. He pulled some blood as well, but I forgot to ring them to find out if there's anything wrong before they closed because I was busy learning the guitar and helping dad with his resume.

As for guitar practise, I know 6 chords, A, Am, C, E, F and Gadd (whatever that is...) and I can sort of play Missy Higgins "Don't Ever" It's getting there, I just need to work on changing chords more smoothly, and working out a strumming pattern would help too. but my fingers are already hella sore from just that. I need to take a break for a bit. I'll build up callouses eventually, just not all in one night given the current pain.

I'm back at work tomorrow, and will probably have buttloads of piled up work. (That is why I don't like missing too much work) On the brighter side, Ryan is coming to stay tonight, and is driving me in in the morning, so I won't have to get up at 6 to catch the bus... so can't wait for this other guy to move out of our room! The new place is in Ringwood, and much closer to where I work... it's going to be awesome!

I missed a driving lesson yesterday which sucks big. I have like 5 weeks left till my test and I REALLY need to be able to practise as much as I want. Mum isn't very good about letting me drive either, so I don't get a lot of practise there. This frustrates me no end.

Also I have learned 2 things about my mouse, Dimebag since moving back in with mum. (They were looking after him since we moved out of Ryan's mum's I couldn't have him at either of the other two places I was at) First off, he doesn't like chicken... at all! Number 2 is that he LOVES spaghetti. He will go mental for a peice of the stuff (cooked that is) and then sits there munching on it as fast as he can. He threw (well dropped with definite propelling force) away the chicken he was offered in favour of spaghetti, and then begged me for more spaghetti, by sitting up and peering through the bars at me. Cute... :)

I have also become addicted to YouTube Music Videos made with Sims2 sad, I know, but this chick is really awesome,a dn I am sure there are more out there if I keep looking.

Lyn from work just rang, checking if I'm going to be in tomorrow. I said yes, I really have to be. I am better today, and there will be so much to do. I just hope that i don't suddenly get told I am hella contagious or something :P

Sick..

Well I'm stuck at home with a horrid virus (I had to get off the train this morning coz I was going to puke) So I may as well update everyone on my life.

I'm staying at mum's for the next couple of weeks, till Ryan and I can get our own place... scrap that... WE HAVE OUR OWN PLACE! It's a share house, with a 30yo bloke and another 18yo girl, but our room won't be avialable for a couple of weeks, but we are guranteed the spot.

Jim (the guy who has the place) is awesome, and there is a pet turtle too. Her name is Cleo. There's also a slightly crazy neighbour. THe best part about it, is I get to cook... all the time! (I happen to love cooking for other people)

Even better, as Jim is single, and doesn't need so much space, we get the master bedroom, which has a massive walk-in robe, and it's own doorway to the bathroom. Not quite an ensuite, but close enough for now!

I'm still working at the same place... and still more or less enjoying every day. I didn't want to miss work today, even though I felt crap, but jumping off the train to go chuck in the station toilets kind of meant I had to.

Also, I am > < that close to getting my license, I passed the computer based hazard perception test (barely I think) and am doing the driving test on the 22nd of June. Keep your fingers crossed for me! I was VERY nervous fo the HPT test, and was convinced I would fail. God only knows how I'll be for the actual driving component. I tend to go to peices and make silly mistakes during practical tests.

Other than that life is good, Ryan and I had our two year anniversary 10 days ago, which was lovely. We went to Kublai (the head chef there was on the Biggest Loser!) and then headed back to his dad's where he is staying for a couple of quiet drinks.

My 21st party was also awesome! Not too big like I wanted, but still big enough for me to be exhausted, and barely get to spend more than 5 minutes with anyone the whole night. I also got some beautiful pressies, including a VERY beautiful necklace from Ryan's mum which I absolutley adore. It's rose gold (sterling silver core) with tiny seed pearls and a couple of turquoise too. Mum has tried to steal it several times.

The other bonus for me, was Ryan's lil cousin M,(she is a tad younger than my eldest cuz Phee) painting me my own plate with my name on it. Not only was I totally not expecting her to do that, I don't recall EVER having my very own named plate! I haven't actually eaten off it yet, but I will soon.

As for the music guessing game... come on people... give it a go, I've had one person answer... see if you can beat 8! I know some of the songs are a bit obscure, but think about it, it's me... there are a few artists I am obsessed with, so there should be some free (or at least easy) points in it for you.

Anyways, best be off... Simpsons are calling.

Music Game for all!

To make up for my recent absence, here's a little game for everyone to enjoy. Long Time No See...

Well I've moved about a billion times, and sucky living circumstances are forcing Ryan and I to live separately at the moment. Him at his dads and me at Nicker's place. Why oh why won't some goddamn rental accept us? This is crap, seriously. Not to mention Nicker's mum just sold her place and I have to be out of here by the 31st of May... oh did I mention there's not enough room at Ryan's dads for me?


Right-o, vent (only a small one) over. Believe me you've missed some good vents while I've been offline. Mostly Nath-centric might I add. Long story, won't go into it cbf about it/him anymore. Just wish the whole damn thing could've been sorted out a little bit better so I could feel a tad less confused about the whole SNAFU... mind you a massive rant post might not have helped.

Anyways, my 21st is coming along just nicely :) However I haven't had any RSVPs yet... HINT PEOPLE!!! Mum and I have planned most of it so far, and she is being a gem by paying for it all.

Anyway, I think I am going to go and have a shower now... my back is killing me. I will try and get on a little more often from now on again!
